If you're using our core safety features, emergency mode is activated via the Wearable due to:
- A missed check-in
Superadmins can set check-ins at pre-set intervals, anywhere from every 10 minutes to hours apart. This feature is ideal for lone workers and drivers, who may not be around for safety checks often.
- Accident detection (including a fall or impact)
Superadmins can choose to turn on accident detection. The Wearable uses advanced sensor technology to detect sharp falls or prolonged periods of no movement, indicating an accident. This feature is ideal for those working in environments where there are high risks of falls, collisions or trips.
- Manual SOS activation
At any point when the Wearable and Tended app are connected, a user can manually activate emergency mode by holding down the tap point for 5-10 seconds. This bypasses check-in or accident detection and sends an alert for help to your pre-set admins.
Your superadmin may have enabled one or all of these options, depending on your safety challenges. You can even segment safety settings via employee groups, as we know the challenges faced by employees may vary by job role.
Once activated, an alert is sent to pre-set admins with the user's location and health information to ensure they can get help quickly. Your user's location is not monitored or logged at any other point. Once the emergency is de-activated, the location sharing ends immediately.
Emergency mode can be deactivated through the user's app, by an admin on the Dashboard, or by tapping their Wearable five times.
